Picualia

In the heart of the province of Jaén, in Andalusia, and at the foot of the A-4 highway that connects the main urban centers of southern Spain with Madrid, Picualia arises. Picualia represents the union of Agrícola de Bailén and Virgen de Zocueca, two agri-food cooperatives that decided to give their name to a modern and powerful oil mill: Picualia. It stands out that the variety of olive they collect is the Picual, known for being the one that has the most antioxidant effects and is the healthiest among the 2,600 varieties of olives in the world. Since 70 years ago, when the first models of oil cooperatives began to be formed, the farmers of the city of Bailén were clear that the merger of these cooperatives would eventually twin them, making their new facilities much more productive. This translates into the offer of a high quality oil, with high product traceability, thus eliminating any type of chemical process and guaranteeing control of the excellent category of virgin and extra virgin olive oils that are marketed today in Picualia.
